Nowadays, our brain is programmed to quickly judge people by their looks. Within the first milliseconds of seeing someone, our unconscious mind decides whether a person is attractive or not.
This prejudgment then creates an illusion of the people we see and our opinions about them.
Extracting the first pre-judgmental analysis from the equation leaves us with a lot more opportunities to see things and notice details we otherwise would have just overlooked. This scientific principle can be implemented into almost every situation in our daily lives, including the world of fashion.
Therefore not being able to see the face of people allows us to take a closer look at what they are wearing, without linking it to the thought why the person is wearing it.
It allows us to objectively observe the clothes people wear and opens our mind to outfits we never thought we liked or simply did not pay attention to because they were linked to a person deemed uninteresting by our unconscious mind.
These are the thoughts that birthed the idea of the editorial I am presenting.
